On 29th October 2023, the Vietnam Girls’ Summit, the most highly anticipated event of the PowHERful campaign, took place, engaging the participation of 1,000 female students from underprivileged backgrounds who have received support from Saigon Children’s Charity and its partners in Hồ Chí Minh City.
The PowHERful Vietnam Girls’ Summit creates a platform to see and hear girls equally, showcasing girls’ power and leadership. The Summit is proudly a female-designed and female-led event. We offer a stage to female leaders to inspire girls to value themselves and believe they have power to shape their own lives and shape the world.
The event featured 10 inspirational speakers from various fields. In addition to the active involvement of these speakers, the event has also received support from over 100 volunteers. Particularly noteworthy is the event’s garnering widespread attention and support from thousands of online followers, generating a positive ripple effect throughout the youth and society.
The summit was successfully organised thanks to the support from the Consul General of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, Schaeffler, GeoComply, Rotary Club Saigon International, New World Saigon Hotel, Carota, Eponji, FUJIFILM Business Innovation, Mondelez International, Money with Mina, Oriflame, Pizza Hut, NOI, Skills Bridge, Purple Asia, Shuttlerock, Vero, Yam, and Zakka Naturals.
